Best fish and chips, great menu. You can go upstairs to Ale & Pate to have them. A favourite place to meet friends and make new friends.
You get a nice fish and chips quite big . It costs 10
Very good traditional fish suppers with ALOT of options on the menu. Also have ice cream and plenty of tea options. Service was quick and the view of the bridge was lovely.
Really good fish and chip shop. They do a standard range really well. A few leftfield fish and shellfish options would make it 5 star.
Greasy is an understatement! We should have known by the smell when we walked in.My girlfriend and I went to Dalgety Bay fish bar, mainly for the partnership with the ice cream parlour above. We wanted some food before we tucked into some ice creams. Well we could not eat that food. As soon as we walked in, the smell turned our stomachs turned, but we thought maybe it's just some sort of cleaning agent or something, looking at the 5 star rating signs from 2016. We thought we were in for a treat, a chippy with a 5 star rating, an app and fancy boxes for chips. Well after being overcharged first time, the manager had to come and sort it out, then the chips were put into the oil. I know from working at a chippy that it takes 10-15 minutes, sometimes more to cook chips but our 5 minute wait for them left us puzzled, once he started packing, we could see the oil leaking through the box and baking paper, and appearing to be partially solid and opaque. We left with our chips, hoping they would be okay to eat. We started on our long walk home, stopping nearby a bench to try our chips. 1 bite and they were in the bin. That is 2 people, 2 different portions of chips doing the same action. No one should have to eat anything as dreadful as that. It was so bad that our walk to the nearest shop had us almost puking and we could smell the chips for hours. Not worth the walk, the money or the time. If you go, expect to be running to Tesco for a bag to puke in and some fresh fruit to clean out your system.
